Visiting temples is one of the most popular rituals in our religion.

Must Visit Temples in Vrindavan & Mathura
1. Banke Bihari Temple
You must have heard about two bodies and one soul. But have you ever heard – one body and two souls?
Let me tell you a beautiful story of Banke Bihari, who is considered a combined form of Radha and Krishna.
Bankebihari Temple is dedicated to Bankebihari, which was established by Swami Haridas, a musician and saint (believed to be an incarnation of Sakhi or Lalita Gopi of the Dwapara era).
Once at the request of one of his followers, Swami Haridas presented music and sadhana in praise of the divine couple Radha Krishna.
Radha Krishna appeared before them and the couple became one and a stone image of Banke Bihari appeared before them to be with them.
Then, this symbol was named Kunj Bihari or Banke Bihari by Swami Haridas.
2. Shri Radhavallabh Temple
You must have seen many marriage ceremonies, but not like the one performed at Radhavallabh Temple.

It is situated near the Banke Bihari Temple and symbolizes the purest expression of love (Rasa-Bhakti).
It is believed that this is the oldest temple here, made of red sandstone.
3. Nidhi Van
Want to feel some mysterious waves?
Have you ever been to Nidhi Van? If yes, then you must be aware of the mysterious story of Nidhi Van.
And if you are still unaware. Let me tell you the story and you will be curious to see this place.
It is believed that Radha Krishna comes to the temple every night and rests there.
Therefore you cannot go inside the temple premises after sunset.
Otherwise, if anyone tries to see them or goes there at night he may become blind, die, or become paralyzed. No one has come out of the woods to tell the story.
The story behind this fact is that Nidhivan may be cursed. Some legends and locals say that Radha Rani was angry with Krishna because of his playfulness with other Gopis or girls. This made her very angry and she cursed Nidhivan. Nidhivan was transformed into dense groves.
She cursed that after sunset no one, not even birds, animals, or insects, would be able to enter there.
4. ISKCON Temple
Is it pain or sadness? I suggest you – don’t cry in front of people, cry in front of God.
We have seen a lot of temples dedicated to Lord Krishna and his beloved Sri Radha Rani. But have you seen any temple dedicated to Krishna and his brother?
ISKCON Temple is one of the beautiful temples of Vrindavan and is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Balarama (elder brother of Krishna).
And if you are from a farming family. You must visit this temple because if you don’t know, Balarama is the god of power, plow, and agriculture.
5. Sri Radha Raman Temple
The beauty of Sanatan always amazes me. Where the theory of science ends, the eternal begins; It is eternal.
This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna in the form of Radha Raman (lover of Sri Radha).
It was founded by Gopal Bhatt Swami, a follower of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who worshiped Lord Krishna.
After the disappearance of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (his saint) when he felt alienated from God, he came to Vrindavan.
Once during the day, he dreamed that Lord Krishna was calling him to go to Nepal to get darshan. Gopal Bhatt Swami went to Nepal and took a bath in the Kali Gandaki River.
He dipped his water pitcher in that river and surprisingly found that there were 12 Shaligrams (fossilized stones) embedded in his pitcher.
He tried to put them back, but they kept getting into the pot so he took them with him.
On the day of the full moon, he worshiped the Shaligrams, kept them in a basket, and went to sleep.
And when he opened them the next morning, there were only 11 of the 12 stones and a small idol of Lord Krishna playing the flute.
Therefore, it is believed that a stone transformed into Krishna, who was later known as Radharaman.
The original stone is installed in the Sri Radha Raman Temple.
