Since childhood, I am someone who is obsessed with the Fictional world as well as fictional characters! I always dreamt about visiting these places in real life!
Well, Visiting all of them was on my bucket list but I have explored some of them and finding more!
As I have heard from so many people Chicago is a dream land for many people. With its iconic skyline, vibrant cultural scene, and diverse neighborhoods, the city has a plethora of opportunities and experiences.
And when I talked with my friends they suggested that if I am looking for an exciting and memorable experience, Chicago could be my dream destination.
So, I decided to visit here and that was unbelievable I found some really dreamy places!
And today I am sharing them with you!
Chicago Places Featured in Movies and Television Shows
Uchicago Campus
The Road to Perdition, Ocean’s 12, and Divergent if you are a fan of these movies then Uchicago Campus is indeed a place that you must visit!
If you are wondering like me how a campus can be a movie-like place then there are so many reasons –
- The University of Chicago campus is called a “movie-like” place because of its beautiful Gothic architecture and beautiful surroundings.
- The campus is known for its magnificent buildings.
And do you know many of them were designed by renowned architects such as Henry Ives Cobb and Eero Saarinen?
The campus is spread over 217 acres and comprises a mix of modern and historic buildings, expansive lawns and gardens, and beautiful sculptures, creating a visually stunning backdrop for students, faculty, and visitors.
It’s safe to say that the University of Chicago campus is a place like a movie in many ways.

The Library at 190 S LaSalle
The second one on my list is absolutely my favorite one!
The Library at 190 S. LaSalle, is also known as the Chicago Public Library.
Here you can see houses a rich collection of books, resources, and materials that meet the diverse interests and needs of its visitors. It gives a calm and inspiring atmosphere for research, study, and reading.
With its grand pillars, beautiful interiors, and a sense of peace, the library offers a unique ambiance that feels straight out of a movie.
The Library at 190 South LaSalle is a two-story library, with walls lined with books, located at 40. Floors above Chicago’s Financial District. This is a venue that is featured in a collection created by PartySlate.
So, It is a call for all book lovers to visit this amazing place!
Red Lion Pub
Want to take The British pub experience in Chicago?
Then, Red Lion Pub is a perfect place for you to hang out! With its cozy interior, classic pub decor, and friendly atmosphere, it has become a popular spot for locals and tourists.
The Red Lion pub has gained recognition for its authentic British cuisine, wide selection of drinks and often featuring live music or entertainment.
If I talk about in which movies it has been featured then there are several including:

The Rookery is a historic building located in Chicago, Illinois.
It is known for its magnificent architectural design and rich history. Designed by architects Daniel Burnham and John Root, the Rookery was completed in 1888 and is considered a perfect example of Chicago School architecture.
The Rookery has been featured in various films and television shows Because of its beautiful interior and significant cultural significance.
A notable film in which The Rookery prominently features is “The Dark Knight” (2008), where it served as the backdrop for the scenes taking place at Gotham City’s City Hall.

Winter Garden at Harold Washington Library
The Winter Garden is known for its beautiful architecture and natural lighting due to its large glass roof. It is used as a popular venue for weddings, festivals, and corporate events.
It has also been featured in various films and TV shows over the years, such as the 1993 film “The Fugitive,” the 2005 film “Batman Begins” and the TV series “Empire.”
Any show gets a feeling of splendor and realism through the Winter Garden’s unique and stunning design.
With everything taken into account, the Harold Washington Library’s Winter Garden is a uniquely attractive location within the building for its remarkable buildings, quiet atmosphere, flexibility, and historic importance.

So, indirectly, the art of poetry can play a role in creating a film-like atmosphere or in evoking the emotions experienced while watching a film.
